- Fill cocktail shaker with ice.
- Add tequila, lime, and agave nectar. Shake well.
- Prepare a stemless glass by rimming the edge with lime, turn the glass upside down to dip and twist in a plate of salt.
- Add ice cubes to the glass, strain mixture from shaker, and top with sparkling wine as desired.
- Garnish the drink with a lime wheel or lime twist.
